At maresystems we are proud of our famous past. Our pioneering present-day portfolio builds on the experience of C. Wilh. Stein Sohn GmbH, the original measuring device company founded in Hamburg in 1878. As long ago as the early 1960s, C. Wilh. Stein Sohn was pioneering unmanned ship’s operational engine monitoring systems and has since grown to become a leading manufacturer with more than 10,000 automation systems installed worldwide. In 2007, H.M. Stein Sohn GmbH Automation was taken over by INTERSCHALT maritime systems AG and in 2014, maresystems acquired Interschalt's automation business.
The goal of our team of visionary and experienced engineers is to take commercial, megayacht and cruise shipping into the digital age. We employ efficient IT structures, AR-based remote guidance and intuitive operator-led visualization technology to deliver the most advanced automation system backed by first-class service and support.
We’re already on a fast track to the technology of tomorrow’s world, e.g. maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS). With us you can be sure your vessels will be fit for the future in automated systems.
Michael Steinbach, maresystems’ founder and CEO, can point to 30 years of experience in ship automation technology and over 20 years of running his own business. Driven by single-minded enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge, Michael loves to go on board ship to find out what customers really want. His mission is to take ship automation forward and provide customer-centric solutions that deliver lasting added value.
